Does anyone know of any really nice Middle Eastern Type of Christian music?

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

I’m looking for some positive instrumental christian music, and some middle eastern type of christian music. Does anyone know any? Your help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well this is more Roman, but you might like Gregorian Chant. i sing in my choir which has Traditional Mass. i’ve had one hymn labeled as Mozarabic. oh and the Arabic rite of the Mass might have some stuff you like.

what happens if a christian listens to satan affiliated music?

Friday, March 5th, 2010

ok im christian but like very in a different way idk whatever so like i listen to music and some of the artists have like upside down crosses or 666 and stuff like that. i pray allot and read the bible and listen to sum christian music too and im baptised and believe in God. please keep answer short and if you dont believe in God then im not judging you so dont call me names im just searching for answers.

How do you know you are born again? Because all the crap you just said doesn’t mean anything. I can’t figure out how a christian would enjoy listening to something that mocks God and worships satan.

So, how do you know you are saved?

How do I get a Christian Music Artist to come to my town/city?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Hello, Can anyone tell me how I can get a christian music Artist to come to my town? It kind of hard because this is something that I believe I would have to do on my own, like pay for their trip to fly here and every other things that need to be pay for. Or does any here know other way of getting Artist into their town/city?

Go to the artists’ website, or look inside the CD cover for the "contact and booking" information. Usually there’s a phone # or email address. All you can do is ask. It may be that the artist will be passing through your area in the middle of tour and can squeeze in a concert.

I don’t think you’ll have to pay for airfare and stuff; generally, ticket sales are what pay for the artists’ travel. If you don’t have a local church to help you out, the brunt of your work could be getting a venue, meals, and hotel for the band.

But the least you can do is send an inquiry. This will cost you nothing, but the outcome could be a concert with your favorite C artist.

Do you think christians are so emotionally attached to christianity and jesus because of christian music?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Afterall, music is very powerful. I got this feeling that when christians type their answers n Y!A, they are listening to some emotional christian music.

You get the wrong feeling.

JESUS is what draws us in.

I get the feeling you never learned to capitalize proper nouns or use correct grammar. "After all" is two words.

Is the medium of popular music unholy, and therefore unfit as a genre for Christian compositions and songs?

Is the medium of popular music unholy, and therefore unfit for Christian compositions?

Do you ever feel this way about Contemporary christian music?

Unholy….? Dishonest, maybe.
Okay.
First of all, the main reason it is called "popular music" is because it is current and easily digested by the masses. I am sure the music played around castle courtyards was quite "popular" in it’s day. Using an older form of music does not make it more holy.
As for CCM, it is rather bad. Pop, by definition, is so incredibly PC and boring. That’s why it is nearly impossible to tell one band from another, by sound alone. You can go through the decades…50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s etc.
Pick any one decade that you are not familiar with, and try to see if you can pick apart who sings what. In all honestly, if you’ve never heard a certain decade…lets say 80’s, you could be easily tricked into believing there were only four different bands during the years 1980-1989.
The same is true for all decades. People just don’t realize it cuz they get caught up in the appearance of the groups.
Why CCM would try to associate with this homogenized music form, is beyond me.
If it supposed to be priasing Jesus, why insult him with uninspired, unimaginative, over-studio-edited dribble?

Can my employer LEGALLY coerce their employees into listening to Christian music?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

We’re now going to broadcast Christian music (1 cd per week) over the telephone system’s speakers, and we’ll no longer be playing out personal radios in our offices. This is a Human Resources company, with absolutely no religious affiliations whatsoever. Is it legal for my employer to force the whole staff to listen Dove Award winning Christian R&B for 37.5 hours per week here in the USA?

you don’t have to listen you can turn off the speakerphone………

it is possible (unlikely but possible) to see this being a discrimination issue IF they played christian music would not allow you to turn off the speakers and refused to allow other religious music a proportional amount of time to be played but as long as that is not the case there is no issue here.

the safe option for the employer is to simply ban any and all music from being played.

for a clearer understanding of religious discrimination see:

He’s the Hand On My Shoulder (Christian Music Video)

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

A video I made with the movie, Shawshank Redemption, I just put together some clips and edited them and added a song. Credit goes to the movie creators and the music composer. To God be the Glory, Alone. Thanks for Watching this christian music video / song Intro: from the B J Thomas : He’s the hand on my shoulder: Movie “Shawshank Redemption” , Morgan Freeman,
He’s the hand on my shoulder
When I need to know someone cares
He’s the hand on my shoulder
Assuring me that He’s always there

He’s the voice in the silence
That sounds so sweet and so clear
He’s the voice in the silence
Telling me that He’s always near

So there’s no need for me to worry
When things aren’t going quite so smooth
‘Cause just as long as I put my trust in Him
He will always see me through

He’s the light in the darkness
Shining through bright as day
He’s the light in the darkness
Guiding me each step of the way

He’s the hand on my shoulder
When I need to know someone cares
He’s the hand on my shoulder
Assuring me that He’s always there
